The latest Pluris customer spotlight features North Carolina natives Glenda and Philip Reid. Pluris Regional Manager, Randy Hoffer and Customer Care Director Beverly Yopp had the pleasure of visiting with Glenda and Philip recently at Pluris’ Webb Creek utility in Hubert, near Jacksonville, North Carolina. Glenda lived in the North Wilkesboro area for many years before settling down in Hubert. It was there where she met Phillip who has lived in the Hubert area for all of his life.
Glenda and Philip were experiencing problems with a septic tank at one of their properties and Glenda contacted Pluris earlier this year to inquire about connecting onto Pluris’ wastewater utility and after discussing the issue decided to connect. Glenda shared how very pleased she was with how the whole process was handled, from the quickness in responding to her call to the completion of the work.
Randy and Beverly invited Glenda and Philip to visit Pluris’ newest advanced membrane bio-reactor (“MBR”) wastewater treatment being constructed to replace the 40 year old wastewater treatment plant from the original treatment facility.
Glenda and Phillip are active business owners and their businesses include a flower shop and self-storage facility in the community. They are both also very active outside of work with a variety of interests. Glenda has always enjoyed horses so when moving to the area having acreage was important to her equestrian passion.
Phillip is an antique cars’ enthusiast and enjoys participating in antique car shows. In addition, he is an avid motorcyclist and participates in a number of motorcycle group rides throughout the year.
When time and busy schedules allow, both Glenda and Phillip enjoy visiting the Boone area in the mountains and spending time “antiquing”. Their love of antiques is obvious and anyone visiting the flower shop will get a glimpse of their collection.
