Pluris Alabama, LLC is midway through construction of a new drinking water facility in a rural area of Northern Alabama. The new facility will complement the first facility constructed and in operation since 2012. The first facility serves approximately 6,000 residents and with completion of the new facility, Pluris expects to serve up to an additional comparable number of residents.
Pluris Alabama manager and long-time Alabama native Tony Cosby says, “There continues to be a real need for additional water resources in rural Alabama and Pluris is once again responding to the need with this facility.”
As with the existing drinking water facility, the new state of the art facility draws water from a well with an initial capability of up to one million gallons per day. Onsite storage (above photos) will allow for water storage of nearly one million gallons. This feature will allow Pluris to better manage daily demands by customers.
In addition to the onsite facility, Pluris is installing approximately five miles of water distribution pipelines to provide additional service to existing customers as well as new customers.
